Silk care
Looked after properly, it lasts years
Wash
Mesh bag, cold water at 30°C or below, gentle cycle, low spin. pH neutral silk or baby detergent.
Never
No bleach, no fabric softener, no optical brighteners. These break down silk protein over time.
Dry
Air dry flat in the shade. Never tumble dry, and never in direct sun — that is what fades colour.
Press
Lowest heat or silk setting, inside out, with a cotton cloth in between. Steam from a distance is safer.
